Recently I had taken part in Design Championship 2021. I was put into a team with some of my classmates one of them being Rushil Kumar. The Design Championship is a national competition where students make designs in different categories. You can go to https://www.designchampionship.in/home for more details. In the first round, I decided to do App Design. The theme was Collaborative Studies. I had made an app in which users could make friends with each other, and then they could video call or message each other. I coded it through Java and XML in Android Studio. We passed the first round and in the second round we had to present the app to the jury. The jury was impressed by the app. In the end we got 2nd place in Region 3 – South 2. https://www.designchampionship.in/winner-region3
Here’s a brief overview of the app:
The app’s name is KLABR. In the home page you need to login by writing your phone number and choosing a country code. Keep in mind the device you use must have a SIM Card. Then an SMS will come on the phone. Once code is written it will take you to the home page. There you will have to set a name, status and image(optional). After that, you can go and check out all users in the app and send them friend requests. If they accept it, you can start messaging and calling them. This was our app.
It was a great tournament and I hope we can go one step further next year.
